Fashion shows are tricky.

They are tricky because nobody realizes how much work and effort

one has to put into it to make it work.

Students' fashion shows are even harder to do.

Firstly, it is impossible to find people who are going to lend you clothes.

Secondly, the whole idea of renting instead of making them,

is not only a cliché but also it is like heating your yesterday's pizza in microwave.

Unhealthy and unpalatable.

Then there is the whole logistic chain that you are lacking,

who will do the hair, make-up, prepare choreography, take care of the show ecc.

Obviously, one can achieve it.

Making connections

(yes yes enchufe es necesario)

comes handy in the situations like that.

Mom's friend is a hairdresser, she will do the hair.

My friend loves make-up, let's check if she could cover that bit for us.

Clothes...hm...I go to this&that shop all the time.

They know me there. Let's see if we could arrange sth there.

So you pull together all these bit in hope of creating something spectacular.

You have to be warned then,

these bits can gnaw.

The key to make it work,

is to be organized.

Making sure that people who are around you know that they should behave professionally

NOT necessarily pretending to be "think pink&Spandex guy from Devil wears Prada."

It is decided. Winter is coming. Right now, it is silently creeping on us. Heavy rain, strong wind, snow and fog is expected to destroy our mood, make our lives more miserable or even crash our immune systems. Even though, I haven't done it a while, I went on the streets of Cardiff to check on how our lovely students are dealing with bad weather. This time, not only I did embarrass them with few seconds of "fake" fashion shoot but also with a quick interview about their inspirations, colours scheme that are going to rule in their wardrobe this winter ecc.

Most of them are looking forward to the winter coat shopping time. "I am looking for a nice full-length coat", "I want a black chunky coat with a big collar" or "I am looking for something which will be really minimalist in beautiful deep blue colour". The Topshop'y/ vintage trend is still on, it won't take you long to find a granny knits, "I am all over the chunky burgundy or purple knits". The only person who was up to combine winter with something more light beneath heavy coats/jacket was a lovely Portuguese guy who is currently on an exchange programme in Cardiff "I want something sleek and light, preferably green or grey", my advice is, do some research on Zara website.

my advice would be:

when it comes to buying winter garments

GO FOR QUALITY.

Good quality will guarantee you that not only your wardrobe will be still up-to-date next year, but also it will look great

About everything and nothing.

B.'s coming back.

I was having a chat with her recently

and

I loved what she's overheard.

It is about the photographer's boom,

nowadays everyone can be a photographer

if only the pockets are deep enough.

Sadly...I must say, I am that kind of a photographer...

with no education, with relatively good camera

with a bit of inspiration

Nevertheless,

I love taking photos.

I guess,

the enjoyment pushes me into it.

It's raining.

Ps. Had a good day today.

Met a Gentleman who went to Japan in 1974.

You could see a sparkle in his eyes while he was talking about the landscape, people, food

and the culture.

"To my envy"-I said.

"Oh, you will get there. You are young. I am sure you will.

You have something of a Japanese person in you"- he said.

Well, well... I wouldn't mind being always young,

having perfect skin and silky hair.

Stuart's Mum

with whom

I've had the most stimulating conversation

in the past few months.

We were talking about the differences between painting and photography.

Then Stuart told me that his Mum fought during the War.

"She never talks about it though. It's was a nightmare for her and my Dad".

While talking about the art, she's suddenly changed the subject.

"You know, I do miss him. I miss him so much. We were together all these years, you see. Always accompanying one another. There was always someone to talk to. Now I am alone. I cannot mourn him as I should....it's just, I cannot believe he is not here."

I felt such a great sadness, I really felt like crying.

This is love.

Real love.

The one we all are looking for.

Never ending, beautiful in it's own difficulties, magic and breath-taking.
